Passing of Gary James John Breininger, 2017 MacKenzie River, Expedition Alumni

It is with sadness that we share the news that our fellow expedition member, Gary Breininger, passed away this summer on July 21, 2024. Unfortunately, we only recently learned of his passing. Gary was a remarkable individual, known for his generosity, warmth, and adventurous spirit. His love for the outdoors and passion for helping others made him an inspiring member of our team. He brought so much wisdom and kindness to our journey, and he will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His family held a private memorial, and his obituary, which you can find below, speaks beautifully to the loving husband, father, and friend he was.

Gary’s legacy of kindness and generosity will always live on in the memories of those who knew him.
